Azerbaijani flag raised in Myanmar’s capital

A ceremony to raise the national flag of Azerbaijan was held in Nay Pyi Taw, the capital of Myanmar, on the occasion of November 9 – the National Flag Day, Report informs, citing the State Committee for Work with Diaspora.
The tricolor flag was raised to the sounds of the national anthem of Azerbaijan at the ceremony organized by the director of the international school of Nay Pyi Taw International Science Academy, diaspora activist Elshan Bannayev.
Teachers and students from 10 different countries participated in the ceremony.
Bannayev said that although Azerbaijan does not have a diplomatic representation in Myanmar, its flag has been flying in this country since 2019.
