Turkmenistan to host Azerbaijan Day as part of UN conference

From August 4 to 8, 2025, an event called "Azerbaijan Day" will be held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone in Turkmenistan as part of the III UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, Report informs.

According to the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, the purpose of the event is to present the rich cultural heritage, artistic traditions and modern creative potential of the country.

A delegation led by Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Adil Karimli, as well as famous artists, is already in Avaza. They continue preparatory work for the event.

As part of the program:

- The Azerbaijan pavilion will feature examples of folk art, publications, souvenirs and works of decorative and applied art;

- The open exhibition area will host demonstrations of carpet weaving, national clothing, kelagayi (a traditional Azerbaijani women's headgear), wood carving and embroidery, as well as master classes;

- The culinary zone will offer traditional dishes of Azerbaijani cuisine;

- The concert part will feature performances of national music, dances and modern stage numbers.

On August 5, an international gala concert will be held as part of the official opening of the conference.

On August 6, "Azerbaijan Day" will be celebrated with a grandiose music and dance program.

On August 8, the participation of famous Azerbaijani artists will mark the closing of the holiday with a final gala concert.

Azerbaijan's participation in this international forum will be an important contribution not only to the cultural presentation, but also to the strengthening of peace, cooperation and the development of cultural diplomacy.
