Baku has hosted a press conference dedicated to the research work carried out in the Gobustan National Historical and Artistic Reserve, Report informs.
The event was attended by the director of the Gobustan National Historical and Artistic Reserve Vugar Isayev and the Spanish specialist Manuel Rodriguez.
Isayev spoke about the latest research carried out in the reserve.
He noted that the project was planned to be launched in 2019: “Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we had breaks. However, this year we carried out a lot of work on the project, carried out scientific and archaeological research in the upper vicinity of Mount Boyuk Dash in the Gobustan Reserve. Archaeological research in the Anazaga cave, located on this territory, was carried out in the 60-70-80s of the last century. As a result of the research, we found the remains of a child 4-8 years old, presumably related to the Mesolithic era."
