Contest on creation of monument to Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev completed

An open contest of sculpture held by the Ministry of Culture, Executive Power of Baku and Heydar Aliyev Foundation on creation of the memorial to Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev has completed, Report informs citing the representative of the Heydar Aliyev Center Zafig Khalilov.

The jury's decision will be published in the coming days.

He said 26 projects will be presented at the contest as a whole.

Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev's monument is envisaged to establish at the square near Icherisheher metro station (at Istiglaliyyat street).

Notably, the bids and designs for the contest have been adopted from April 25 until June 30 of this year. With respect to the interest to the contest, the appeals of the rector of the Azerbaijan State Art Academy Omar Eldarov and a number of scupltors, the contest was extended to August 31.
