Youth Climate Champion for COP29: ‘Your decisions can affect current and future generations’

By signing the declaration "On Children, Youth and Climate Action", Azerbaijan signaled that children and youth are in a special focus for it, Leyla Hasanova, Azerbaijan's Youth Climate Champion for COP29, said at the signing ceremony of the declaration, Report informs.
Aliyeva said that the COP29 Presidency has committed to prioritizing children and youth in this year's climate policy:
"When discussing climate change, we must keep children and youth in mind here. Consider that your decisions can affect current and future generations. In the coming weeks and months ahead, there will be additional opportunities to make progress on climate action for youth."
She added that climate finance should be made accessible for children and youth.
