Yalchin Rafiyev: Preparations for COP29 carried out in two directions

The work to prepare for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) is being carried out in two directions, COP29 chief negotiator Yalchin Rafiyev said at the first press conference at the COP29 headquarters, according to Report.

The first direction is related to the work on documents that will be adopted at the conference, as well as Azerbaijan's climate proposals.

"At the same time, visits were made to many states, experiences on COP were exchanged, discussions were held. The main goal of the COP session in Baku is to create consensus, taking into account differences between the parties," he said.
