Vladanka Andreeva: COP29 important for various sectors to know their climate change commitments

The 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which will be held in Baku, is very important for informing the various sectors about their commitments on climate change, Vladanka Andreeva, the UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan, said on the second day of the GSMA M360 Eurasia 2024 international conference held in Baku, Report informs.

She mentioned that expectations from COP29 are high: "This event is also an important platform for the world. It also includes the agreement of financial targets for the 195 countries that joined the climate conference and the adoption of reports reflecting the successes in reducing emissions. In general, we are far behind the commitment to reduce carbon emissions. This is an issue that should be discussed and resolved."
