Today's conference on mine action and the upcoming COP29 in November are closely connected, Ivana Živković, UN Assistant Secretary-General (ASG) and Director of the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) Regional Bureau for Europe and Central Asia, said.
According to Report, Živković was speaking at the 3rd international conference on Mitigating Environmental Impact of Landmines: Resource Mobilization for Safe and Green Future in Zangilan.
According to her, this connection is due to the fact that these events focus on transformative actions to ensure environmental sustainability and climate change resilience.
