Sultan Al Jaber: UAE Consensus laid out clear roadmap for keeping 1.5°C within reach

The UAE Consensus laid out a clear roadmap for keeping 1.5°C within reach, COP28 President Sultan Al Jaber said at the IEA in Paris, Report informs.

"The UAE Consensus laid out a clear roadmap for keeping 1.5°C within reach and delivered a series of world firsts across the climate agenda, including the first-ever agreement for a just, orderly and responsible transition away from fossil fuels, a target to triple renewable energy capacity by 2030, and a commitment to end deforestation in the same period," Sultan Al Jaber emphasized.
