Italy will continue to support developing countries in climate adaptation issues, Francesco Corvaro, Italy's special envoy for climate action, said at the Climate and Development Ministerial (C&DM) during the second day of Pre-COP29 in Baku, Report informs.
He noted that Italy, together with its G7 partners, has developed an 'act of accelerating adaptation.'
"The main goal of this initiative is to speed up the implementation of adaptation measures in the most vulnerable countries. We must move as quickly as possible from current calls to action on adaptation. This can be achieved through developing partnerships, creating investment plans, and transitioning from planning to actual implementation," he said.
