COP29 president meets Sweden’s chief climate negotiator

The Organizing Committee for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) has held a meeting with Sweden’s chief climate negotiator Mattias Frumerie, Report informs.

“President-Designate Mukhtar Babayev, Lead Negotiator Yalchin Rafiyev and High-Level Champion Arpadarai Nigar today met with Swedish Climate Ambassador and Head of Delegation to UNFCCC Mattias Frumerie. They agreed on the importance of climate diplomacy and the need to act with urgency,” COP29 Azerbaijan wrote on X.
