Azerbaijan's banking sector fully supports transition to low-carbon economy

Azerbaijan's banking sector is fully committed to supporting the country's transition to a low-carbon economy, Zakir Nuriyev, the president of the Azerbaijan Banks Association (ABA) Public Union, said at the event titled "Global Financial System: Expanding Financing for Climate Action" organized within the framework of COP29 in Baku, Report informs.

"In accordance with the instructions of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the number of banks disclosing information about climate-related risks is increasing," he noted.
