Report informs citing RIA Novosti that this is evidenced by the Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI) rating, which includes the 500 richest people in the world.

The biggest losses were sustained by head and founder of Amazon Jeff Bezos. His fortune declined by $3.25 billion dollars overnight and losses have reached $15.7 billion since the beginning of the year, while he remains the richest man in the world with a fortune of $109 billion.

The losses of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, co-founders of Google Holding Company - Alphabet Inc. - Larry Page and Sergey Brin, co-founder of Oracle Larry Ellison, head of investment firm Berkshire Hathaway Warren Buffett totaled from $1.3 to 1.8 billion.

Among Russian billionaires, Vagit Alekperov, the co-owner of Lukoil, suffered the biggest losses - $384 million.
