Uzbekistan to increase export of dried fruits to Azerbaijan

Uzbekistan's Global Export intends to increase the volume of exports of dried fruits to Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the head of the Global Export Department Abbos Botirov.

"The basis of exports to partner countries is made up of legumes, dried fruits, and nuts. The company exports various types of beans and peanuts to Azerbaijan," he said.

Botirov added that the annual export to Azerbaijan reaches $1.5 million. "We want to increase these figures. For example, 90% of exports are beans, particularly white beans. Now, much emphasis is placed on dried fruits, namely on the export of prunes, raisins, dried apricots. So far, the volumes are small; we have sent only a trial batch to Azerbaijan. We intend to increase the export volume of dried fruits to Azerbaijan in the near future."

Founded in 2017, the Uzbek company Global Export is engaged in the production, cleaning, calibration, polishing, and export of agricultural products.
