Unemployment rate in Georgia exceeds 20%

The unemployment rate in Georgia in 2021 was 20.6%, 2.1% more than in 2020, Report informs, citing the National Statistical Office (GeoStat) of Georgia.
According to GeoStat, in 2021, the unemployment rate in Georgian cities was 22.2% (+1.9%), and 18.2% (+2.4%) in rural areas.
Among men, this figure increased by 2.5%, up to 22.7% on an annualized basis, and among women it went up by 1.6% to 17.8%.
