Turkiye resumes walnut exports to Azerbaijan

In January-April 2022, Azerbaijan imported 1,983 tons (-3.2%) of walnuts (shelled and peeled) worth $ 5.576 million (-0.5%), Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.
During the reporting period, 769.68 tons (down 56% from a year earlier) worth $ 3.293 million were imported from Ukraine (-31.8%), 947.99 tons (+ 15.5 times) worth $ 1.239 million (+15.7 times) from Russia, 106.2 tons worth $509.76 thousand (no supplies a year ago) from Kyrgyzstan, 100 tons (-46%) worth $327.68 thousand (-42%) from the United States, and 41.18 tons (-29.3%) worth $ 119.2 thousand (-38.7%) from China.
After a one-year and six-month break, imports from Turkiye have resumed. 0.31 tons of products worth $ 2.33 thousand were purchased from this country.
