Some issues should be reviewed to increase cargo transportation and trade within the framework of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor), Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Cahit Bagci said at the forum on "Opportunities on the Horizon: Green Light for Women Entrepreneurs" held in Baku, Report informs.
"Last year, problems arose in the Suez Canal, and everyone saw its impact on the world economy. Due to the Russian-Ukrainian war, the role of the Middle Corridor has increased. The opportunity has passed from Europe to Turkiye, Georgia, and Azerbaijan. There are always topics to discuss. Trade barriers will not be removed if customs clearance rates and waiting periods are not reconsidered," he said.
