The trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan made up $362,140,000 in January-April 2019, the National Statistics Office of Georgia said in a statement, Report’s Georgian bureau informs.
According to the statement, Azerbaijan’s share in Georgia’s total trade turnover made up 9.4% in the reporting period.
Azerbaijan follows Turkey and Russia among the biggest trade partners of Georgia.
Export from Georgia to Azerbaijan rose by 5% to $126,337,800. Azerbaijan’s share in Georgia’s export was 13.1%.
Import from Azerbaijan extended by 2.6% to $235,802,200. Azerbaijan had 8.4% share in Georgia’s total import.
Georgia’s total trade turnover in the reporting period was $3,859,600,000, which is 2.3% higher than the previous year. Georgia’s export increased by 17.9% to $1,133,400,000, import fell by 3.1% to $2,726,200,000.
