Tbilisi. 21 January. REPORT.AZ / Trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan amounted to $1,088,790,500 in 2018, Report’s Georgian bureau informs citing the National Statistics Office (GeoStat).
In the reporting period, Azerbaijan was the third largest trade partner of Georgia after Turkey and Russia with a 8.7%-share in Georgia’s total trade turnover.
Export from Georgia to Azerbaijan rose by 84.7% to settle at $502,726,700. Azerbaijan generated 15% of Georgia's total export, becoming the first largest partner of this country in export.
In the same year, Azerbaijan's export to Georgia stood at $586,063,800, up 5.8% in comparison to a year earlier. Azerbaijan was the fourth import partner after Turkey, Russia and China with the share of 6.4% in Georgia's total import.
Georgia’s total foreign trade turnover grew by 17% to settle at $12,484,400,000, with export operations amounting to $3,362,100,000 ( up 22.9%) and import operations settling at $9,122,300,000 ( up 14.9%).
