Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Georgia reaches $755M

In January-September 2019, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Georgia was $754,855,600, Report informs citing the National Statistics Office of Georgia.

Azerbaijan is the fourth trade partner of Georgia with 8.2% share in its trade turnover following Turkey, Russia and China.

In the reporting period, Georgia’s export to Azerbaijan amounted to $355,113,000, up 4% from the previous year. Azerbaijan’s share in Georgia’s export operations was 13.1%, the second larger export partner following Russia.

Azerbaijan’s import to Georgia declined by 0.9% to $399,742,500 and became the fourth import partner in Georgia’s import with the share of 6.2% following Turkey, Russia and China.

Georgia’s total foreign trade turnover made up $9,193,700,000, up 0.5% from 2018. Export rose by 11.1% to $2,719,200,000, while import dropped by 3.3% to $6,747,500,000.
