Positive balance of foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan up 8-fold

Baku. 15 January. REPORT.AZ/ Considering the official customs reports on volume of exported crude oil and natural gas, Azerbaijan has traded with 187 countries making turnover of $ 22,593,632 thsd in 2017.

Report informs citing the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.

61,13% of trade turnover ($ 13,811,624 thousand) accounted for export, 38,87% ($ 8 782 008 thousand) import operations. Thus, in 2017, positive foreign trade balance was formed in amount of $ 5,029,617 thsd.

Notably, foreign trade turnover in 2016 amounted to $ 17,675,727 thousand, including export at $ 9,143,250 thousand, import $ 8,532,448 thousand. The positive balance of trade turnover was $ 610 832 thousand. As a result, foreign trade turnover increased by 27.8%, exports by 51.1% and imports 2.9% in 2017. The positive balance of foreign trade turnover increased by 8-fold.

Last year, over 3,179 types of goods were exported from Azerbaijan, while 7,419 types of goods were imported.
