Number of taxpayers in Azerbaijan up by 7%

The number of taxpayers in Azerbaijan reached 1,556,028 as of July 1, 2024, marking a 6.5% increase year-on-year, Report informs, citing the State Tax Service under the country’s Economy Ministry.

The breakdown shows that 87.2% of these taxpayers were individuals, while 12.8% were legal entities and other organizations. Over the past year, the number of individuals increased by 6.4%, and the number of legal entities grew by 7.4%.

Additionally, by the end of June 2024, there were 182,304 registered commercial institutions, reflecting an 8.1% increase compared to the previous year.”
