More than 18 Iraqi companies operate in Azerbaijan 

“Trade relations in cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iraq are of great importance,” Deputy Minister of Economy Sevinj Hasanova said at the 2nd session of the Joint Commission between Azerbaijan and Iraq.

“Despite the fact that the trade turnover in 2020 was 19% less than in 2019, this figure increased by 36% in the first half of 2021. Azerbaijan mainly exports animal oil, products processed from fruit and vegetables, barley, and lubricating oil to Iraq. From Iraq, Azerbaijan imported spare parts for vehicles.”

Hasanova said that more than 180 Iraqi companies operate in Azerbaijan: “These companies are engaged in trade, construction, service, and industry. We think that there is great potential for increase of the trade relations between the countries.”
