Minister: China invested $ 770 mln in Azerbaijan economy

Baku. 13 February. REPORT.AZ/ "China has invested $ 770 million in the Azerbaijani economy so far".

Report informs, Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev said at today's press conference on Azerbaijan-China economic relations.

According to him, the oil sector dominates in the structure of investments: "We need to work to increase investment in non-oil sector and work is being done for that”.

The minister noted that the development of Azerbaijan-China relations would give an additional impetus to the participation of Azerbaijan in the exhibition to be held in November in Shanghai. According to him, the area occupied by Azerbaijan for participation in this exhibition will be doubled.

Mustafayev also said that the Chinese side has a great interest in the construction of the "SOCAR-GPC" project in Garadagh district. The minister reminded that a memorandum was signed between the sides in this regard.
