Maxim Oreshkin: Azerbaijan-Russia trade turnover soars

Baku. 25 December. REPORT.AZ/ Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia continues to grow.

Report informs, Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin said at the opening ceremony of the Russian Export Center's (REC) representative office in Baku.

The minister said that REC will create conditions for the development of relations between the two countries.

Azerbaijani Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev said in his speech that the relations between the two countries are at high level in the field of economy as in all other spheres: "As you see, today the weather is very beautiful. This is a manifestation of our high level relations".

Notably, trade turnover between Russia and Azerbaijan amounted to $ 2.1 billion in 10 months of 2017. This is more by 51% than in 2016. $ 1.6 bln of this sum accounted for Russian exports. $ 1.5 bln of trade turnover formed at the expense of non-oil sector.
