Iran increases butter exports to Azerbaijan by almost 60 times

In January-February 2022, Azerbaijan imported 2,574 tons of butter worth $13.79 million, the State Statistics Committee said, adding that imports increased by 54.2% in value terms and 41.9% in quantitative terms compared to the same period last year.

Report informs that Azerbaijan exported 850,610 tons worth $4.99 million from New Zealand, 872,430 tons worth $3.67 million from Iran, 349,490 tons worth $2.1 million from Ukraine, 120,370 tons worth $675,190 from Finland, 99.92 tons worth $521,650 dollars from Turkiye.

Compared to January-February 2021, supplies from New Zealand increased by 23.1% and decreased by 5%, from Iran - by 61 times and 58.1 times, from Ukraine - by 11.7% and 24.1%, from Finland by 52% and 57.9%, from Turkey - by 12 times and 15.4 times.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan supplied 79 tons of products worth $392,610 only butter to Russia. In the same period 2021, Azerbaijan did not export butter.
