Governor: Saint Petersburg ready to supply oil equipment to Azerbaijan

St. Petersburg’s enterprises are ready to supply equipment for oil and gas wells to Azerbaijan, the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, said during his meeting with Azerbaijan's Economy Minister, Mikayil Jabbarov, Report informs, referring to Russian mass media.

"Cooperation between St. Petersburg and Azerbaijan continues fully along the lines determined by the leaders of our countries. The city administration is ready to join the implementation of all intended plans. We see the increase of commercial and economic cooperation and mutual investments as a priority," he said.

The governor emphasized that the trade turnover between the northern capital of Russia and Azerbaijan is increasing: "According to the results of the first three quarter of 2023, the growth was more than 33%."

Alexander Beglov offered to work together to expand mutual supply: "St. Petersburg is ready to supply Azerbaijan with equipment for oil and gas wells, as well as to participate in the development of the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC), especially in the implementation of highway construction projects, etc."
