German companies plan to set up farms in Azerbaijan

A German company, which is a member of the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce (AHK Azerbaijan), and its partners are holding discussions on the establishment of 5 dairy farms in Azerbaijan, including the liberated territories, Tobias Baumann, Executive Director of the AHK Azerbaijan, told Report.

According to him, this project consists of the establishment of five full-scale dairy farms, which include cattle, the installation of stables, milking machines, and biogas facilities: " This is a great success for our bilateral economic relations and for the export of German machinery to Azerbaijan."

Tobias Baumann stressed that 15 German companies attended the 16th Azerbaijan International Agricultural Exhibition ("Caspian Agro") and the 28th Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition ("InterFood Azerbaijan"): “Companies engaging in all types of the agricultural sector came to Azerbaijan. We had effective negotiations with companies at the stand.”

The trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $1,254,900,000, down 2.3% from 2021. In January-May 2023, this figure was $778,926,000, 56.6% more than a year earlier.
