Georgia to import medicines from Turkey

Georgia will import high-quality medicines from Turkey, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said at a government meeting, Report informs.
According to Garibashvili, the decision to open the Georgian pharmaceutical market for Turkey has already been signed.
In recent years, there has been an increase in drug prices in Georgia. Prices for medicines in the Georgian domestic market are expected to fall thanks to imports from Turkey.
Georgia mainly supplies medicines from European countries, Russia, India and Belarus. The market share of locally produced drugs is 13%.
