Georgia’s foreign trade turnover drops

In the first quarter of 2021, Georgia’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $2,773.5 million, showing a 0.3% decline in comparison with a year earlier, Report informs, referring to the National Statistical Office of Georgia.
In the reporting period, the exports increased by 5.3% to AZN 821.1 million, while imports fell by 2.4% to AZN 1,952.4 million.
As a consequence, the deficit accounted for AZN 1,131.4 million, which is 40.8% of total trade turnover.
