In January-July of this year the trade between Georgia and Azerbaijan made $600,597,600, Report's Georgian bureau informs citing the preliminary report of the country's National Statistics Office.
In the reporting period Azerbaijan's share in Georgia's overall trade made up 8.5%. Azerbaijan took the third place among the major trade partner of Georgia following Turkey and Russia.
In January-July of this year export from Georgia to Azerbaijan rose by 6% over a year earlier, settling at $266,212,100 with Azerbaijan accounting for 12.7% of Georgia's total export. With this indicator Azerbaijan is seconf after Russia which imports the biggest part of Georgian goods.
In seven months of this year Azerbaijan exported Georgian goods worth $334,385,500 which is a drop of 1.4% over a year earlier. Azerbaijan makes 6.7% of Georgia's import, being the fourth major partner of the country following Turkey, China and Russia.
In the reporting period the total foreign trade turnover of Georgia amounted to $7,065,300,000 which is a growth of 0.2% in the annual term. Georgia's export rose by 12.4% settling at $2,102,200,000, while import dropped by 4.7% settling at $4,963,100,000.
