The first LifeGuide Mentorship Program in Azerbaijan has finished

Baku. 16 June. REPORT.AZ/ The closing ceremony of the first LifeGuide International Mentorship Program organized by Human Foundation in Azerbaijan took place on Friday 16 June 2017. 4 mentors from 4 big companies namely Azeriretail, Bakcell, Deloitte Azerbaijan and Gilan Holding together with 16 mentees with different educational and professional backgrounds were part of it.

Report informs, the main goal of the program is to help students to be better prepared for their chosen specialties under the guidance of mentors. The objectives of the program are the following:

• To improve mentorship tradition in Azerbaijan;

• To inspire experts in different fields to train specialists through the well prepared program;

• To present new and mentally prepared specialists to the job market.

Through this Mentorship Program young people gained a real chance to dive into professional areas of their interests. The project was designed to help young people who passed different stages within 7 weeks program under the guidance of 4 mentors. Qualified mentees had opportunity to get professional recommendations and training from mentors according to their background and experience. Mentors were the representatives of different local and international companies operating in Azerbaijan.

The program included various tools for the mentees’ personal and professional growth such as training on CV writing, on interview skills and its simulation, team psychometric testing also training on presentation and tasks such as market and fund raising research and surveys, self-reflective exercise, developing business building skills and writing project proposals.

The organizers gave an opening speech describing the idea and the outcomes of the first mentorship project in Azerbaijan. During the closing ceremony, mentors shared their own mentoring experience, feedbacks and impressions on the program. The distinguished mentees were awarded with diploma and all the other participants were given a certificate of completion of the LifeGuide Mentorship Program. Apart from the mentors, other professionals also shared their views about the Program. The video and photo reports highlighted the most memorable moments of the program at the closing ceremony. The founder of Human Foundation gave a closing speech by summarizing all the important points of the project.

Following the successful completion of the project, the organizers will do their best to ensure its frequency and increasing number of mentors and mentees benefiting from the program in the future.
