Belgium increases wallpaper exports to Azerbaijan by over 15 times

In the first two months of this year, Azerbaijan purchased from abroad 1,087 tons of wallpaper worth $2.93 million (the front side is covered with a layer of colored and patterned plastic).

According to the Report’s calculations based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, compared to the same period last year, this is 10.1% less in value terms and 0.2% more in quantitative terms.

During the reporting period, 739.94 tons of products were imported from China for $1.51 million, from Russia - 95.02 tons for $461,230, from Ukraine - 125.32 tons for $428,020, from Belarus - 54.33 tons for $215,590, from Belgium - 27.46 tons for $144,440.

Compared to January-February last year, supplies from China increased by 47.5% and 36.5%, respectively, from Russia - decreased by 40.6% and 15.3%, from Ukraine - by 2.5 and 2.5 times, from Belarus - increased by 5 and 5.4 times, from Belgium - by 16 and 12.4 times.

Out of 9,989 tons of wallpaper purchased by Azerbaijan abroad (15 countries) in 2021, 38% came from China, 30% from Ukraine, and 18.3% from Russia.
