Baku to host meeting of Azerbaijan-Italy intergovernmental commission

On July 26, Baku will host the 6th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Italy, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Energy Ministry.

The commission's agenda includes issues of cooperation between the two countries in trade, economic, energy, logistics and infrastructure, agriculture, culture and tourism sectors. Also, a session will be held to discuss investment opportunities and prospects in both countries with the participation of AZPROMO, the Azerbaijan Investment Company, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency, the State Oil Fund and relevant structures of Italy.

After discussing the issues on the agenda, a protocol will be signed following the results of the 6th meeting.

The co-chairs of the intergovernmental commission are Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy Manlio Di Stefano.

Italy is Azerbaijan's largest trading partner, and Azerbaijan is the largest supplier of crude oil to Italy.
