Baku hosts rice festival

An opening ceremony of a rice festival was held in Baku.

Report informs that the festival, organized by the Pakistani Embassy in Azerbaijan, is one of the events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Pakistani Ambassador Bilal Hayee said they are trying to find new areas to develop cooperation with Azerbaijan, adding that they are among the world leaders in rice exports and are ready to supply high-quality rice to Azerbaijan.

The ambassador said that B2B meetings between businessmen and rice producers will be held during the festival.

Adviser to the Economy Minister Masim Mammadov spoke about the comprehensive economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, adding that the parties are interested in further increasing trade turnover and diversifying economic ties.
