AZPROMO: Azerbaijan plans to open Trade House in Lahore, Pakistan - EXCLUSIVE

Azerbaijan is interested in opening of Trade House in Lahore, Pakistan, Acting President of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) Yusif Abdullayev told Report.

According to him, the works in this direction are underway.

Azerbaijan operates Trade Houses in Belarus, Latvia, Poland, Russia, China, UAE and Ukraine. Azerbaijan's first Trade House was opened in Belarus in 2017.

In January-July 2019, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan Pakistan made up $9,030,580, up $ 2,028,640 or 29%. Of this, $250,720 fell to share of export from Azerbaijan, which is $402,680 or 2.6-fold lower than previous year.

In the reporting period, the import from Pakistan to Azerbaijan increased by $2,431,320 or 38.3% settling at $8,779,860.

In January-July 2018, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $7,001,940, of which export from Azerbaijan made up $653,400, import to Azerbaijan - $6,348,540.
