Azerbaijanis increase housing purchases in Turkey

In January 2022, Azerbaijani citizens bought 89 apartments in Turkey, 21 apartments or 30.9% more than in January 2021, Report informs, citing the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
In January 2022, 4,234 apartments were sold to foreigners in Turkey, 1,522 apartments or 88.9% more than a year ago.
Last month, most buyers were Iranian citizens; they purchased 761 apartments in Turkey. Iraqis ranked second with 513 apartments purchased.
Russian citizens bought 479 apartments in Turkey in the first month of 2022, and thus, ranked third.
