Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan ink several documents

Economy Minister of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov and the Investments, Industry and Trade Minister of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov discussed the strengthening of economic partnership in various areas and signed several documents within the framework of the 12th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation in Shusha, Report informs citing the Azerbaijani Economy Ministry.

Following the meeting of the intergovernmental commission, a protocol was signed. According to the document, it is planned to expand cooperation in the areas of trade and the economy, energy, transport, innovation and start-ups, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, tourism, food security, water management, culture, as well as humanitarian and social areas.

An agreement was also signed between the Economy Ministry of Azerbaijan and the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan on the establishment of the Azerbaijan-Uzbek Investment Company, and documents on expanding cooperation in the energy sector.
