Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan discuss expanding cooperation in textile industry

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Azerbaijan Fashion Retail Association (AFRA) and the Association of Textile and Clothing Industry Enterprises of Uzbekistan (Uztekstilprom), Report informs with reference to AFRA.

Chairman of the Board of AFRA Farid Novruzi received a delegation led by the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Uztekstilprom Mirmukhsin Sultanov. The main purpose of the meeting was to expand the potential of AFRA's foreign cooperation, as well as to study ways to soften the pricing policy for textile goods imported to Azerbaijan.

The Uzbek delegation invited AFRA members to consider the possibility of sharing production facilities.

Following the meeting, a memorandum was signed. The document envisages an exchange of experience between the two organizations, cooperation in the textile industry, study of mutual investment opportunities.
