Azerbaijan to adopt strategy for promoting foreign investments

A strategy is under development for the promotion of direct foreign investments in Azerbaijan, Yusif Abdullayev, head of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), told Report.

"We expect that strategy to be adopted this year. The document defines the common investment areas. President Ilham Aliyev is implementing large-scale infrastructure projects in the country. Industrial zones and industrial parks have been created within the framework of these projects. They allow us to attract foreign investors to the country. We offer good conditions to investors," he said.

In addition, according to Abdullayev, AZPROMO is working on the "Invest in Azerbaijan" website: "This website will contain information about the conditions created for investors in Azerbaijan, privileges, and information about current projects. Agriculture is a priority for us. Also, energy, logistics, transportation, and industry diversification are very important for us. This site will be useful for investors."
