Azerbaijan suggests facilitating trade among Turkic-speaking states

"One of the main challenges of the modern world is the rapid development of digital commerce. As you know, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Azerbaijan and Turkey in April 2021 to develop this area. This document gave impetus to growing trade relations to a new level, and trade goods and services by modern means," Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov said.

According to Report, the minister spoke at the 10th meeting of the economy ministers of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (CCTS) in Baku.

"Work will be done to establish a digital trading platform between Turkic-speaking states. I think that the multilateral memorandum will promote the creation of a digital trading platform between our countries. We propose that the MoU signed with Turkey cover all Turkic states, and we begin to develop a multilateral memorandum," he noted.

Jabbarov stressed the importance of collaboration between Turkic states in the field of 'green energy,' logistics, and infrastructure.

"The event also aims to form the economic bloc of the summit to be held in November, so in this regard, we have assumed a great responsibility. The main issues on our agenda are the hearing of the report on the activities of the Secretariat of the Working Group on Economics and the discussion of current topics, the signing of MoU in the sphere of various economic zones, and the awarding of companies operating in Turkic states," the minister said.
