Azerbaijan starts trout imports from another country

In the first half of 2022, Azerbaijan imported 396 tons of trout (live, fresh or cooled, and frozen, smoked) worth $1.3 million, respectively, up 10% and 9.4% from the previous year, Report informs referring to the State Statistical Committee.
In the reporting period, the country imported 341.4 tons (+24%) of trout worth $1 million (+24.2%) from Iran, 52.1 tons (-36.4%) worth $202,000 (-28.9%) from Turkiye, 2.2 tons (+20.4%) worth $35,000 (+8.4%) from Belarus, 0.02 tons worth $8,000 from Poland, and 0.3 tons (+58.8) worth $7,000 (+67%) from Lithuania.
Azerbaijan imported trout from Poland for the first time in 11 years (official statistics on foreign trade in open access since 2011).
