Azerbaijan starts importing curtains from Kazakhstan

In January-August 2024, Azerbaijan imported 961,487 square meters of window curtains worth $1.3 million, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee

This is 8% less in value terms and 22% more in quantity compared to last year's figures.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 836,824 square meters (17% more than a year ago) of curtains worth $1.1 million (-13%) from Türkiye, 116,499 square meters (+75%) worth $128,000 (+47%) from China, 385 square meters worth $14,000 from Kazakhstan, 129 square meters (+2.4 times) worth $12,100 (+12 times) from Spain, and 157 square meters (-65%) worth $11,550 (-43%) from Italy.

This year marks the first time in the last 13 years (note: official statistics on foreign trade are publicly available since 2011) that supplies were received from Kazakhstan.
