Azerbaijan starts exporting quince to Uzbekistan

In January-November 2023, Azerbaijan exported 2,861 tons of quince worth $2.6 million, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.
This is 99.5% more than in the same period in 2022 in value terms and 2.1 times more in quantitative terms.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 2,808 tons (+2.1 times) of quince for $2.6 million to Russia (2 times more than a year earlier), 25.5 tons (+8.3% ) for $15,100 (+43%) to Kazakhstan, 16.6 tons (-20%) for $10,700 (+2.6 times) to Georgia, 5 tons (-38%) for $6,200 (-15%) to Belarus, 4.7 tons for $6,150 to Uzbekistan.
Last year, supplies to Uzbekistan were made for the first time in the past 12 years.
Of the 1,619 tons of quince exported from Azerbaijan (to 6 countries) in 2022, 94.4% came from Russia.
