Azerbaijan significantly increases fertilizer exports

In January-August 2024, Azerbaijan imported fertilizers worth $52.538 million, 5.7% more year-on-year, Report informs, citing the country's State Customs Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan also exported fertilizers worth $79.198 million, which is 86.7% more year-on-year.

Fertilizer imports accounted for 0.41% of Azerbaijan's total imports, while exports accounted for 0.43% of total exports.

In January-August 2024, Azerbaijan conducted trade operations worth $30.995 billion with various countries, which is 12.7% less compared to the same period last year.

Of the foreign trade turnover, $18.232 billion accounted for exports, and $12.764 billion for imports. Over the past year, exports decreased by 25.1%, while imports increased by 14.5%.

As a result, a positive balance of $5.468 billion emerged in foreign trade.
