Azerbaijan sharply increases lentil imports from key supply markets 

For the January-to-April period in 2022, Azerbaijan imported 2,837 tons of lentils worth $3.114 million, respectively, up 15% and 61% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

In the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 1,508 tons (+2.2 times) of lentils worth $1.802 million (+3.5 times) from Kazakhstan, 872.71 tons (+76.5%) worth $740,740 (+2 times) from Russia, 265.8 tons (-74.5%) worth $335,350 (-60%) from Kyrgyzstan, 185 tons (-16.7%) worth $225,560 (+24.2%) from Canada, 5.61 tons (-85.8%) worth $8,870 (-77.5%) from Turkiye, 0.48 tons (-17.2%) worth $740 (-19.6%) from UAE, and 0.03 tons (-40%) worth $120 (-42.9%) from Germany.
