Azerbaijan sees sixfold growth in positive balance of foreign trade turnover

In January 2020, Azerbaijan’s trade operations with foreign countries amounted to $2,851,000,000, up 23.8% from the previous year, Report informs citing the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.

Export accounted for $ 2,130,000,000, up 66.4% from the previous year. Import made up $721,000,000, down 29.5%.

Consequently, the positive balance of trade turnover amounted to $1,409,000,000, up 5.5-fold from a year earlier.
