Azerbaijan sees significant growth in ketchup imports from UAE

Azerbaijan imported 1,338 tons of ketchup, valued at $2.1 million in the first five months of 2024, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.

Compared to the same period of 2023, the imports grew by 28 in volume and 24 percent in value.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 662 tons (+38%) of ketchup from Russia worth $976,000 (+24% ), 272 tons (+16%) from Türkiye worth $475,000 (+29%), 77 tons (-13%) from Germany worth $189,000 (-9%), 126 tons (+13%) from Kazakhstan worth $153,000 (+22%), and 59 tons (+4 times) from the UAE worth $77,000 (+5 times).

Meanwhile, in 2023, Azerbaijan imported a total of 2,956 tons of ketchup from 23 countries, of which 44.2 percent came from Russia and 25.2 percent from Türkiye.
