Azerbaijan sees 42% decline in consumer rights violations

Between January and October 2024, based on evidence submitted during the investigation of citizen appeals received by the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under Azerbaijan’s Economy Ministry, administrative offense protocols were issued against 40 individuals and legal entities, followed by appropriate legal measures, Mammad Abbasbayli, head of the State Service, wrote on X, Report informs.

Abbasbayli noted that compared to the same period last year, the number of issued protocols decreased by 42%.

“Efforts by entrepreneurs to enhance consumer satisfaction contribute to strengthening mutual trust in business-consumer relations. The intensive awareness-raising initiatives conducted by the State Service also play a significant role in supporting this process,” he added.
