Azerbaijan’s yoghurt imports from Latvia soar

In the first 5 months of 2023, Azerbaijan imported 1,221 tons (-19%) of yoghurt worth $2 million (-1.5%), Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 812 tons (-23%) worth $1.1 million (-9%) from Russia, 294.1 tons (-8%) worth $504,000 (+18%) from Belarus, 60.8 tons (+33%) worth $123,700 (+57%) from Türkiye, 33.1 tons (+83%) worth $64,500 (+44.4%) from Latvia, and 4.7 tons (no imports last year) worth $26,000 from Belgium.
Some 67.6% of the 3,229 tons of yoghurt imported to Azerbaijan from 13 countries last year came from Russia, 22.6% from Belarus, and 5.3% from Türkiye.
